Identical Twins

They look identical, they do identical things, they even fool their closest relatives sometimes.... but I know from my advanced biology classes and more importantly... from the Bible that no two individuals are completely, 100% identical. God has made each of us uniquely and perfect in His eyes, which is a BLESSING indeed! They are 10 months old now, a blessing to my life, and as close to heaven as you can get here on earth! Identical??? Sometimes our eyes can't tell the difference, so we always put Ella on the left and Mattie on the right!

Family Beach Trip

We are home from the beach and it was a fantastic trip. (Some are still there until Saturday.) Everyone made it except my mom and one niece that has a summer job. The three to the left are my younger sister with her husband and daughter, they live in Michigan and their oldest daughter couldn't make it. My handsome hubby is seated holding one of the grand nieces, our daughter is in pink and her husband has the cap on, I'm in the middle wearing green and our son is to the far right in black with his wife in white. My oldest sister lives in Cullowhee and is to the right in the picture, wearing white and her husband is behind her wearing blue, their daughter is holding the other grand niece and her husband is sitting on the arm of the chair that my husband is sitting in.

What a BLESSING to spend time with a family that doubles as your very best friends!

My Kids

My Kids
Katherine just finished her third year of teaching kindergarten and in July she will have been happily married for one year. She lives in the Winston-Salem, NC area about 2 hours away.
Ben just received his first appointment with the United Methodist Church and will be headed to the Greensboro, NC area, with his beautiful bride of two year, as an associate pastor. They have just purchased their first home and will be about 30 minutes from Katherine.
Hubby (yes... he's still a kid too) will be celebrating 33 years of marriage to me on June 14th. We will be celebrating at Holden Beach all of next week... with both of my sisters, their spouses, their kids/spouses, my kids/spouses, and my twin great nieces. What a BLESSING... I can't wait!

Sundown

... and the sun goes down on our trip to Yellowstone National Park and the Grand Tetons.

Sunsets create a connection with my Creator like nothing else can and that is a BLESSING indeed!

Gaperguide

This device was our tour guide through Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. It is just the best invention ever. It is a GPS box called a GAPERGUIDE, it plugs into your cigarette lighter and automatically tells you what's coming up next on your trip, along with some interesting information about the site. It really was a highlight of our trip and well worth the $35 that it cost to rent it. I wish this had been invented when my kids were small... believe me when grands come along- we will rent the Gaperguide again! I found out about it from an online search before we ever made our trip and that... was a BLESSING indeed!

Snow Capped Beauty

Gorgeous snow capped peaks were everywhere on our trip. The average temperature was a perfect 70 degrees each day but there were constant reminders of a snowy winter wonderland! ... the Grand Tetons behind the airport

... mountain peaks entering Yellowstone at the south entrance
... the Grand Tetons behind our resort, The Snake River Lodge
... the ski slopes in downtown Jackson Hole
... and the Grand Tetons as we traveled to Yellowstone. The magnificance of God's creation is a blessing indeed!
