Thank You Heath

This rose bush grows beside my garage... blooming faithfully from spring until fall each year, BLESSING me one bud at a time. But the biggest reward in the blooming of this beautiful flower is the reminder of the precious student that gave it to me, as an end of the year gift, many years ago. Each time I see a new bud, or cut a flower for an indoor vase... I think of this young man, say a prayer for him and his family, and thank God that he was in my kindergarten classroom. It is definitely a gift that keeps on giving, year after year, bloom after bloom. Thank you Heath for blessing my life in so many ways and for giving me a gift that keeps on giving.

I just took it this morning. I know you miss living in NC but remember, we've had the air on for 2 weeks now. The flowers are beautiful this year especially the roses and azaleas. Miss you and love you Cheryl!

I was glad to see you over at my place today - the roses are so beautiful. I wish I could have more in my yard - we have too much shade.

The spring flowers have been so wonderful here this year - I don't know why they're so great, but it has been such a treat. It's dreary again today, though - not good for our company this week-end. Just so it doesn't snow!

Hi Dawn, it's good to hear from you too. I can't believe you are still getting snow. We've had the air on for weeks now. I agree the flowers are beautiful this year and I loved seeing some of yours. I especially loved the tulips and the way they had spread making a beautiful bed of color. Enjoy your company.

It sounds like the perfect gift to me Nancy. The roses are just beautiful. I had a bush very similar to yours, but the deer thought it was dinner.... I couldn't believe they would eat it thorns and all, but they sure did.
Have a blessed sunday Nancy.

It is so cool when a gift survives the years and it significance does not fade. You really should let the student know. I think he would be blessed.

I gave my mother a rose bush for Mother's Day one year. That was long ago. But each year she never failed to thank me for that rose bush which served as an annual reminder to her of my gift. She died in early 2001. It seems like just yesterday that she was alive. I miss her.
