Gaperguide
This device was our tour guide through Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. It is just the best invention ever. It is a GPS box called a GAPERGUIDE, it plugs into your cigarette lighter and automatically tells you what's coming up next on your trip, along with some interesting information about the site. It really was a highlight of our trip and well worth the $35 that it cost to rent it. I wish this had been invented when my kids were small... believe me when grands come along- we will rent the Gaperguide again! I found out about it from an online search before we ever made our trip and that... was a BLESSING indeed!

How cool!! I just love technology!! We just got a GPS and they are fun to watch work too. Thanks for the Yellowstone trip.
perfect!!! everyone needs this! i hope that we will have it in the Philippines soon.
Sandy~ I love technology too but I sometimes have a hard time getting things to work correctly and I hate... reading the directions! I hope to get a GPS at some point too.
This looks easy to use and the price is certainly reasonable enough. I would think it would make traveling through those areas even more interesting when you know just what to watch for.
xo
dong~ Sorry I missed you. You must have commented about the same time that I did last night. Thanks for stopping by... I hope you get a gaperguide in the Philippines too! Please stop back by.
Sue~ It was so easy that even I could use it without the manual! It was constantly giving us information and you could even press a button for interesting tidbits when you weren't in the park or when you were waiting in the car. How neat is that??!!
I've heard a lot about the GPS system, but had no idea it gave you tidbits of info as you drive along. Too cool!
Dawn~ It was only geared toward information in these two parks but it was full of information for Yellowstone and Teton. The inventor came from Jackson Hole and knew a lot of local information. The characters that talked were hired actors from California. It almost had a story plot to it because the same characters were used over and over. It was full of historical and scientific information along with helpful hints.
That is pretty neat!
I would love to get a GPS myself. I'm always getting lost at least once whenever I'm driving to a new place. LOL
Cris~ I'm pretty good with directions and rarely get lost but the older I get... the harder it is! GPS maybe on my next car.
That does sound great! If our family makes it over there, we'll probably rent that also...especially for all the learning and info it gives!
We just got back from a trip to Disneyland and the L.A. area and had borrowed something similar from a friend (I think it was called a 'Magellan' or something). Anyway, we were sure impressed and grateful to have that nifty device with us. We got everywhere we needed to go on the first try - pretty impressive if you've ever been to Los Angeles!
Tammy~ I loved that it just gave you the information and you didn't have to keep a guide in your lap to stay on top of what you were seeing. Great stuff!
Juile~ It's great to hear from you. I hope all is fine with the new baby. A trip to disneyland... that must mean things are GREAT!
