Family Beach Trip

We are home from the beach and it was a fantastic trip. (Some are still there until Saturday.) Everyone made it except my mom and one niece that has a summer job. The three to the left are my younger sister with her husband and daughter, they live in Michigan and their oldest daughter couldn't make it. My handsome hubby is seated holding one of the grand nieces, our daughter is in pink and her husband has the cap on, I'm in the middle wearing green and our son is to the far right in black with his wife in white. My oldest sister lives in Cullowhee and is to the right in the picture, wearing white and her husband is behind her wearing blue, their daughter is holding the other grand niece and her husband is sitting on the arm of the chair that my husband is sitting in.

What a BLESSING to spend time with a family that doubles as your very best friends!

Thank you for your kind, sweet comment Nancy. In truth, I have so far to go.
What a lovely picture. You're right, there is nothing like being blessed with a loving family. I would love to get our gang all together to do something like that.
Have a blessed weekend Nancy.

Amen to that Nancy. Family time is wonderful - especially being at a beach just enjoying each others company.

Thank you for sharing :)

Thanks Linda, we all have a long way to go but thankfully we keep working on it!

Get your gang together. It is a blessing indeed and well worth the extra effort and money.

What a blessing indeed! It is wonderful when your family members are also your friends. We need to get together again - there are 51 of us now, so it gets harder every year to have everyone there!

Dawn~ WOW... 51 people- that would take some major planning. It was hard enough for our 17 (counting mom). But well worth it.

I loved your most recent twins photos. They are really growing. I'm keeping Kristen in my prayers... update when you can.

Sandy~ You have a lot to look forward to. I hope you will blog about it so I can see the photos. Do they come to GA.?

Sounds like you all had a wonderful family vacation! What a great picture of everyone!

My husband's family goes to the same spot on the coast every year (since my hubby was a kid!) Sometimes I go- sometimes I opt to stay home and have some rare quiet time...but I know his family has enjoyed these get togethers every year so much!

Have a great rest of the weekend!

Tammy~ I can see why your husband's family migrates this way annually... it is spectacular. We have been going for maybe 10 years now and I hope that tradition continues.

Cris~ Cherished memories... you are right I couldn't have described it better!

What a great looking bunch! Too bad your sister in Michigan couldn't make it. Next time you visit her you simply have to come to the beaches of west Michigan! =)

Kylie~ I'm glad you stopped by... come back anytime!

Tom~ Actually my sister did make it, it was her oldest daughter that couldn't make it because of work. I'm trying to plan a trip to see her in late August... maybe it will still be warm enough to head to the Michigan beaches! Thanks for stopping by.

Dawn~ You are a blessing to me and if I made your day... then consider it a small payback for all the ways you have blessed me!

I just read it again. Duh. How did I get that mixed up? By August the beaches will be perfect. Depending on how much time you have, I'd make a day of it in either Holland or Grand Haven. In Holland the two nicest beaches are north of town. In Grand Haven town shopping, the board walk, and the beach are all at the same stop.

Tom~ No problem... there are so many of us- it's hard for me to keep up. Thanks for the beach info from Michagin. I hope I get to check them out.

Hilary~ Thanks for stopping by. If you get a chance, read my Gaperguide post before you take your Yellowstone trip in August. The Gaperguide would be perfect for your kids.
