Snow Capped Beauty

Gorgeous snow capped peaks were everywhere on our trip. The average temperature was a perfect 70 degrees each day but there were constant reminders of a snowy winter wonderland! ... the Grand Tetons behind the airport

... mountain peaks entering Yellowstone at the south entrance
... the Grand Tetons behind our resort, The Snake River Lodge
... the ski slopes in downtown Jackson Hole
... and the Grand Tetons as we traveled to Yellowstone. The magnificance of God's creation is a blessing indeed!

I'm so glad you got out here to the West - now I need to get to your neck of the woods!

We still have snow on our mountains as well - I have a picture I have been meaning to share. But it's probably starting to melt pretty quickly, which will be great for our water supply for the summer!

Sue~ Breathtaking is a great adjective and a blessing indeed!

Dawn~ If you come to western NC, I will definitely be your tour guide. Start planning! Fly into Charlotte, Asheville, or Greenville,SC... I'm only an hour away.

We rarely have snow in the winter so it was a pleasant surprise to see the snow capped mountains in May. Flooding had started in the Wyoming area while we were there which was another surprise to me... enough snow melt to cause a flood??!!

Have a great week!

Cris~ I love to tinker with photography but I have so much to learn. It really is exciting to get a good shot but at this point they are few and far between. It is easier when you have so much beauty surrounding you!

What beautiful scenery Nancy! I love taking pictures too, need some lessons but have fun anyway! That is amazing about the herd of elk running by your car! Yikes!
We had enough snow this past winter to share with everybody but it is finally all gone now. We are going to have temps in the high 80's low 90's on Saturday, sure not used to that!!!!

Seeing these pictures is getting me so excited for our family vacation up to Yellowstone this September.
My parents have a time share near the West Yellowstone enterance and we head out there every September (as a large family) and hang out for a week.
I can't wait.
Thanks for sharing all the photos.

Tammy~ The scenery was just gorgeous. Next up will be my sunsets.

Midlife Mom~ Welcome aboard... I hope you will be blessed when you visit here. I loved going to Home on the Range and reading about your grands and your horses. A very special place to visit with beautiful pictures that give your readers a view of Maine. I hope you will return.

Sandy~ I love the mountains too and have my mountain sunsets up next!

Hilary~ Lucky you to visit every year. We exited the west entrance and rode south through Idaho along the Grand Tetons. Just gorgeous! I have a neat tip to share with you before you go, something new, if I don't blog about it, I will get the info to you before September.
