Rewiring My Brain

Could it be that "I bit off more than I can chew"?  I hope not.  Learning the ins and outs of my new computer is a challenge but I've always loved a good challenge.  It is taking longer than I had hoped but it will be worth it when I no longer have to worry about a virus, or loosing my favorites.  Throw in a UTI, hives for a week, and another basal cell carcinoma- which they didn't get all of the first time around (on my back, not my face this time, which is a blessing indeed)... I think I'm making excellent progress.  Thanks for your patience...  I haven't had the time to visit all of my favorite blogs or do update posts.   You have been a blessing to me, as I try to sort through all of this and I appreciate all of your positive comments and encouragement.

I have had so many new learning experiences lately with new "toys" and necessities. It's hard! But worth it, for sure. I still don't know how to record on the new dvd recorder. And that's after we had the Comcast guy come out! Ugh!

Sorry you've had such a hard couple of weeks!

Dawn~ I can't do the dvd recorder thing either... but I haven't given up yet.

It has been a rough couple of weeks. It's times like this, when I know I made the right decision to retire. Retirement... now that is a blessing indeed!

Dear Nancy,
You've certainly had a full plate of health issues. I've said a prayer for your speedy recovery..
Learning all the ins and outs of a new "techie toy" can be challenging, but they say that helps our minds to learn new things.
(I finally mastered my dvr so you can do it too!)

Thanks Sandy~ The hives may just be from stress but I don't feel stressed like I did when I worked... who knows!

Thanks for your kind words. Have you enjoyed the cooler weather in the SOUTH? I'm loving it.

I'll be praying for a quick recovery for you, Nancy...
And hoping you get your new computer all figured out soon, too...when my mom got a new one a few months ago (yes, the same mom that's 81!) she wanted me to help her figure it out and I thought I was all savvy but realized this new one was nothing like what I had been use to!

Thank you for your sweet comment at my place, too...it meant a lot!

Hugs~
~Tammy

It's a tricky process. Lost your favorites. That's scary. Hey, I had nearly front row seats at a McCain/Palin Townhall Meeting. It was very interesting.

We'll be in Bostick NC next month at the camp where my niece and her husband are directors - are you anywhere near there?? I need to get out some maps - my southern geography is sketchy at best!

Of course, I don't even know what town you live in.

Tammy~ Thanks for your prayers. Each day gets a little better. The hives only came back once yesterday.

Gail~ Thanks for stopping by with best wishes. I already feel better and I'm learning new stuff every day!

Cris~ It is fun learning something new... it's just hard finding the extra time.

Tom~ How lucky you are... or maybe you have great connections. I can't wait to hear all about it. I've been excited ever since the first speech. Have a great weekend!

Dawn~ I'll email you. I'm so excited that I can hardly type. I live 15 minutes away. MAYBE we can finally meet!
