It's Here!
It's here and I'm so excited! I feel like a kid on Christmas morning and I can't wait to play... this is such a blessing to me! Now let's see how easy it is to set up... I'll let you know. Have a great weekend.
I hope it is flawless for you. Dear friend Linds is having the same problems with Dell that you're having with HP. Our Dells have been great - both PC and laptop, and HP is the company that has kept our town going all these years. But I guess you can get a lemon with any company, and outsourced technical help is a nightmare!
Hi Dawn~ You are right about outsourced tech support... I call it the phone tunnel- you get in and you can't get out! I have literally spent an entire day with phone tech support! It's a nice way to travel the world... I've been to the Philipines, India, etc... I have the worse problem with my southern accent... they just can't understand me because of the vowel sounds. They speak proper english and I speak southern slang. I'm just glad I'm retired and can spend the time trying to get up and running.
I think you are right about a lemon. It has gone back to HP twice, in the shop once, and I've done so many system recoveries over the last 3 years.
And then I think how minor these problems are compared to your flicker and family issues. My prayers for you continue. God is good!
Tammy~ The Mac is up and running. I just have to load software, and then figure out how to use the new system. I wonder if this old brain can tackle that much information. I hope so.
I am sure it is just like any Pc of course only a MAC!! smile!! I am anxious to know how you like it. I know how excited you are. I love getting a new computer..WHOA!! Sandy
Hi Nancy! Just wanted to thank you for your comments and to say "yea for you!" on the new computer. As I type this, I'm using someone elses computer because ours just completely died on us last week. Just as I was getting back into blogging, I no longer have a computer to do so! Anyway, I'll be gone until we figure out which complicated machine we need to purchase to replace our old one (it will help to hear how you like your Mac). Just wanted you to know that I'm doing pretty okay and really appreciate your prayers and friendship. Hope to be back soon!
Both of my daughters got this same Mac within the past month. They love it, and I must admit... I'm jealous! Your finger tips will be tap dancing on those pristine keys all night!
Sandy~ I'm learning slowly. So far, I don't have my printer or camera loaded but I'm learning and so far so good.
Julie~ Good luck with your computer problems. I hated being without the blogging world. I will keep you in my prayers as you face this stressful time of the year.
Susie~ Thanks... I'm getting their slowly.
Tom~ I love my new MAC! Ben has one and I called him about virus software and he said I didn't need it on a MAC! YEA! I still have a lot of work to do but I'm getting there slowly.
You are right about my fingertips tap dancing. It is amazing. I was already good on the keyboard but with the Mac... I can really go fast! It's so much fun! Your day shall come.
Thanks for the kind comments. We're heading for Georgia next month on the 10th - how far away are you from AThens? We might even be in one of the Carolinas - not sure which! That's how much I know about your neck of the woods!
So now write a post on what's so great about a Mac.
Dawn~ I'm going to get to that post soon. I'm doing tutorials right now. It takes awhile for this old brain. My prayers continue.
Hilary~ I love your frog. CUTE!!! I love this new toy... I should feel bad after I wrote the post about handsome hubby and his toys! I guess his toys are just bigger and take up more space! hehe Glad you stopped by... hug your kids!
I am a 60 year old retired teacher, with two grown, married children, one grandson, a granddaughter on the way... a wonderful husband of 37 years... and life is good.
