Seeing Double
Emily is the twin on the left and throughout their 19 years of life... I have been able to tell them apart (most of the time). As they got older, they wore their hair differently and Emily was slightly taller(she always said 5 foot 12 inches because 6 foot sounded too tall), which made it easy. Emily's face always seemed a little longer to me and they would just giggle with delight when I named them correctly. Precious memories... they are a blessing indeed!

Such beautiful girls. Emily's twin must be feeling such a terrible sense of loss.
xo
Susie- you are so right, she said she felt like half of her was missing... and it is, because they were so close. She has now gone back to Clemson to finish the semester and face life without her twin and roommate! Thanks for stopping by- keeping you in my prayers!
What a tragedy that was!! I feel so badly for all involved. It would be awful losing a sister but a twin...I am sure it would be even harder. Thanks for stopping by. yes we are having the BEST weather now. i just love it..Sandy
Sandy, Thanks for stopping by- ehe nice enjoy the NICE weather... winter is probably just around the corner.
I just wanted you to know that my heart aches for the pain I know Emily's death has caused you and her family and friends. I hope you will find comfort and seek beauty and Joy even in the midst of grief and sorrow. It's a choice...everyday. But there is blessing in life because of it. Prayers for comfort and healing in so many hearts and lives. And thank God, truly, for precious memories.
Thanks Jody for your comforting words. You could write the book on grief and sorrow, so it is great to hear from one that "knows"!
Emily's face does look a little longer. But they are both beautiful girls. I can't even begin to imagine the pain all of you are feeling. I know she will be greatly missed. I am still praying for all of you. (((((((((HUGS)))))))
I can't even imagine how Emily's twin must feel. There is something so special about the twin connection. What a sad thing! And they were roommates - but I'm so glad she wasn't there with her that day, or was she?
Chris- Thanks for your continued prayers.
Dawn- Emily's twin was in the mountains while Emily spent the weekend at the beach. Emily was with 2 of her very close, lifelong, friends and they died in the fire too. One grew up in the same neighborhood with her and they all attended elementary and high school together. Very sad.
Nancy, I could feel my heart break when I clicked on the picture of those two beautiful girls - clones of each other, and one now gone. How do you ever get over something like that? Well, I guess you don't. Ever, ever. Please tell Emily's twin that I send my condolences. What a tragedy for all of you. Such gorgeous girls!
Josie- As always it is great to hear from you, and thanks for your kind words and for stopping by. You are so right- we will never get over this, we will just slowly move ahead, knowing that one day we will all be reunited in heaven. Faith in God at a time like this, is the only way to face each new day.
What a great picture and tribute. This was sad by any standards, but it is the fact that such a close sibling is left to sort out the rest of life without her sister that has been on my mind. I'm glad you are there to help her through it.
Nancy...somehow I missed that she was a twin. I am in tears tonight...sharing a fraction of the pain that Emily's twin sister must be facing- I can't even imagine.
I'll be praying for her especially in the weeks to come~
(((HUGS)))
I'm sure that must be so hard for her twin. Hope she can get better in time.
