My Heart Aches

My precious, 19 year old God child died in a fire yesterday at Ocean Isle Beach in North Carolina. She was a sophomore at Clemson University along with her twin sister, who was not with her for the beach get away (this is the only blessing that I can see so far). Please pray for her family and the others involved in this tragedy. I will try to get back to blogging when things are more settled. My word! I heard this on the news this morning and saw the picture. I immediately thought of my NOrth Carolina blog friends, but never dreamed it would affect one so closely. I am so sorry!! What a tragedy.

How horrible. I just read this article. That looks like the three-story beach house we stay in when we take the kids to Destin, FL. So sorry for you and your friends. This reminds me of that tragic van accident a year ago with those Taylor University students who got their identity switched. I knew some people involved in that and wrote the following.

Nancy, I'm so very sorry. There are no words. I heard the news on the radio this morning never dreaming it had affected someone I "know" so deeply. I will be praying for all of you.

I read up on the disaster today and learned that they still don't know what caused the fire. But I also learned that your goddaughter's funeral is today. May the Lord bless you and her family as you grieve.
