Fantastic Fall Trip
Michigan was a gorgeous mass of fall colors, with a touch of cooler weather to tease me before I had to return to the hot south today. The maple trees were especially colorful, with the crisp blue sky as a background. The colors in NC are delayed, due to the severe drought- this made me appreciate my visit with my sister even more. Fresh markets, antique stores, bountiful boutiques, delicious eateries, soccer games, football games, fall walks, long talks, and precious time with my little sister... a blessing indeed!

Anon aka Sister- Be careful what you ask for, remember what I told you about Jeff and Kim.
Kristen- Fall is great and what a special one for you awaiting the twins. Take care of yourself!
Susie- I hope the fires are far, far, away from you. My prayers continue as you face the coming days!
I'm glad you enjoyed yourself while visiting here in Michigan. :)
I'm so glad you had such a wonderful time. The foliage in the Midwest is unbeatable. That is one beautiful maple tree!
Chris- Michigan is a great state and I am lucky to have blogger friends in that area. Maybe the next time I visit my sister- we can have a blogger reunion.
Dawn- You have had some nice photos from your area too. I don't think we will have much color in NC because of the drought, so it makes me appreciate my trip even more.
Thanks for that beautiful picture!! I miss that here in Georgia!! We have a temp of around 85 today..WARM...thanks for your nice comments on my blog..Sandy
Sandy- Our weather in NC is about the same with little hope for a colorful fall due to the drought. Cooler weather- maybe for a weekend!

All things considered, fall will always be my favorite time of year. Sorry to bring up the whole grieving thing again, but some people have said that the change of seasons can sometimes trigger those emotions to resurface. I was relieved to see that I couldnt find a way to blame what happened to Emma on Mother Nature! Beautiful babies too, by the way!
Hilary and Julie- Great to hear from you both. It has been way to long and I am glad to know you are still blogging.
Julie- Fall can be a sad, depressing time and all of your thoughts are right on target! It is a blessing indeed to not play the "blame game" or to go through the "what ifs"... but this is the real world and we (you and me) will always know that the grieving process never ends- it just gets easier to deal with ... with the passing of time! Blessings to you, Julie, you are in my prayers.
So glad you had such a great time with your sister! That tree is gorgeous!
We have a bright sunny, yet crisp and a bit windy day today, with leaves blowing all around and it's so nice! :)
I can't believe I missed this. It's been one of those weeks. Lots of "fall work" around the house. So glad you had a nice visit to Michigan. We love it here.
That tree is gorgeous! My daughter and SIL told me the same thing about NC and the drought. Glad you had fun!
