MIA for a Good Cause

WOW, what a week! I have been MIA (missing in action) for a good cause and it has been such a BLESSING! My daughter had the week off from teaching kindergarten so mother-daughter had a wedding planning blitz... full speed ahead. Our "to do" list has check, check, and double check beside every single item and we walked away; exhausted, excited, thrilled, still loving each other, and BLESSED beyond measure to spend this precious time together. We had our "Bridezilla" moments but with "T minus 105 days" and counting, I have to be the luckiest Mom in the world to have been BLESSED with the most precious daughter that God could create. Stay tuned this is only the beginning.

Boy, Nancy, you and are were sailing on the same ship this week! Mandy's on spring break from her third grade teaching position, too, and yep, this was the full steam ahead with the wedding details week. Amazing what we accomplished and it's a huge relief to have so many of the little things covered.

No bridezilla moments here. We don't get to spend as much time as we want with each other because she lives and teaches and hour away, so we chrished every single moment. But I have to say, today is a HUGE blessing. I am all alone. ALL alone. And it's very quiet and unbusy in my house today. LOL

Don't you love it? Our big day is June 23rd. What's yours? Sounds like we're having big weddings about the same time.

So funny. I could have written this post! :-)

The most special moment of this entire week for me was when Mandy and I went out to lunch together on Wednesday and with stars in her eyes, she said, "Oh, Mom. I love him so much, I can't wait to be his wife." Melt my heart!

Actually, we didn't chrish our moments together. We cherished them. And I obviously need another cup of coffee. LOL

I remember those planning days so well. We had so much fun! Even the "bridezilla moments" were conquered in the end. I'm glad you got so much done. What joy!!

We're on Spring Break, too, which explains why I was able to get those 4 posts done in the middle of the week. =)
One thing we have going on up here that you don't have in N.C. is SNOW. No kidding. It isn't deep but we've gotten 2" in 2 days. I've seen it snow here on Easter before. We'll be in Fla in a month! (Senior Trip).
Now on those squiggly letters. This set isn't too bad...

Such fun exciting times Nancy! And I bet y'all did enjoy every minute of it. I got to do that a couple of years ago with one of my daughters and it does keep you busy. Thanks for the update, fun to read!

Too funny, we are having our "bridezilla" moments with my mom as well. Her wedding is May 25th and she is starting to get stressed out. Trying to get her to sit down and relax is like asking the cow to prove that he jumped over the moon. LOL

But what a huge blessing it will be when it's all said and done and I am sure she will remember for the rest of her life that mom was right there by her side throughout the whole thing. :)

Wonderful that you had the time to spend with your daughter. I can only guess how time consuming weddings are.

Blessings to you and yours this Resurrection Sunday.

Thanks for stopping by both my site and Care Bear's prayer on Kristen's. She is really something!

I have finally finished Part 5 of Kev's and my story. It has been the most difficult one so far.
