Flowers
Last week we had a chance to take this photo to the florist, hoping she would have similar vases for flower arrangements on the reception tables at the wedding. We needed something tall like this because the reception hall opens to a second floor balcony area and the open space is almost too stark, without a tall vase on each table to draw your eye downward. The florist had this same kind of vase and will be able to duplicate the flowers. Now that was a great big check off of our list and a BLESSING in that we came away with complete confidence in the florist. Isn't it neat when you meet someone, talk details for awhile, and then feel like they understood exactly what you wanted? The real test will be the actual flowers on the tables but for the time being I feel BLESSED that the "worry" factor is out of the picture!

That will be strikingly beautiful! What is the color scheme?
Thanks for stopping by and leaving such a wonderful comment. It has been tough, but God is in control!
You are doing so well with all these plans. I think everything will look just beautiful. I'm excited for you.
All the details are coming together!
I remember the day we ordered the flowers and it was really such fun!
:)
How much fun is all of that? Sounds fun to me. Still have a few years to go for my young chumps.
Keep it coming on the wedding plans.
It's always wonderful when things work out nicely. :)
They'll be beautiful. My wife and daughter are stuffing envelopes as we watch "Lost."
Oh, so fun to read because I just posted on my own wedding memories...and so some details like finding the right florist and picking out the cake are all coming back to me a bit...even though it's been 12 years!
That's a huge thing to check off your list, Nancy. I know. Believe me.
And they're beautiful!
We're very, very lucky. For Krissy's wedding I bought 18 very large hurricanes and we put them on mirror squares with candles in and all around them. Luckily, I was smart enough to save them and we're using them for Mandy's wedding, too. The hurricanes were expensive $18 each times 18 of them. But....they were a lot cheaper than floral centerpieces.
Now, what on earth will I do with 18 large hurricanes AFTER Mandy's wedding? LOL Door prizes? Is that tacky? LOL again. When I think what I spent on those things, I can't stop laughing. I might start crying. :-)
Nancy,
I used to be the event planner/wedding coordinator at a country club before we decided to start our family. Those centerpieces were always my favorite - very elegant and people can still see each other while they sit down to eat! How fun for you! :)
