"Nana, Nana"

This is my handsome hubby with the grandniece twins. Won't he make the best Papa ever? (hint, hint)  The twins are 17 months old now and they are more than a double bundle of joy.  They share love, hugs, kisses, laughter and joy.   BUT nothing melts my heart more than to see them run down the hall from their preschool class, arms reaching upward towards me, huge smiles of delight on their faces,  SHOUTING,  "Nana, Nana" (baby talk for Nancy)............  PRICELESS!  Thankfully, I'm still strong enough to scoop them  both up and smother them with kisses!  This has to be a touch of heaven on earth and one of my richest BLESSINGS in life!  Big changes are on the way for the twins, so check back in a few days for an amazing announcement.

No, but that was a great guess! I'm thankful it's not that because preacher mama has a lot on her plate right now! Their parents are in Israel right now, guiding a tour from their church. But that's not the only "PACKING" they are going to be doing.....

It is a great feeling to get that unconditional love. I have a newly walking 10 month old son, and it is amazing that no matter how rough my day has been or whatever else is going on he toddles over to my arms when I get home at night for a big hug, and the exclamation DA-DA

They are getting so big. Yes Nancy, he will make a perfect Papa and you the perfect Nana. It is one of life's special joys this grandparent business. In the meantime, those little nieces fit the bill nicely.

Ian, you described it perfectly and I know you are treasuring every precious moment!

Linda you are right... the grandnieces fit the bill nicely for right now. It's hard to imagine that it will get better than this because they are such a blessing to all of us!

Dawn~ You guessed it! You have followed my situation so closely and you have put a smile on my face as you figured this out. After all , you know the life of preacher's kids... especially in the Methodist Church. They will be an hour away which will be double what it is now. We are still working on preschool, childcare arrangements but I think I will still keep my day with them. As you can see, it is worth it and such a blessing to me.

I've been "Mr. Mom" this week with our Nat and haven't gotten around to my favorite blogs for while. Great pix! And a surprise coming, too?

Mimi and Elmo really do look like "kin" to each other. Isn't it funny that Ben was drawn to the same kind of dog. That speaks well of his upbringing!

Thanks for stopping by Tom. I hope the surgery went well for your MIL. I've kept her in my prayers. I bet after a week of Mr. Mom, you will be delighted to see Julie. I've thought of you often this week and prayed for you as you continue the grieving process. Your mom was a very special lady.

I appreciate your kind comments about Ben and his upbringing. The apple doesn't fall very far from the tree.

Have a great week!
