Winter Blessings
On this cold winter day in North Carolina, I'm enjoying this beautiful bouquet of yellow bells (Forsythia). I brought the cold barren branches inside several weeks ago, pampered them with sunlight and fresh water, and now they are rewarding me with a fresh breath of SPRING TIME! I love watching God's beautiful creation blossom right before my eyes and delight in the fact that in few weeks, I get to enjoy this gorgeous display outside! And that my friends, is a BLESSING indeed!

My only disappointment when we moved to Texas was the startling realization that I wouldn't have Forsythia or Lilac bushes growing at our house. I do miss them. Thanks so much for sharing yours.
Linda~ My sister in Michigan misses them too. I'm glad I posted a photo for you to enjoy. They are a blessing to me on these cold winter days.
I didn't know you could do that - what a wonderful wintertime treat! Spring will definitely be here before we know it.
Thanks for the encouraging words today!
My forsythia are blooming now but I don't think they look this good! I didn't know you could bring them in barren like that....your arrangement is very pretty!
These are so pretty Nancy! We're beginning to some early signs of springtime here too :)
xo
We used to have a bush of this back in Illinois when the kids were young. I would love seeing it blossom because that meant Spring was here..Seems like in Illinois it cannot come too early.
Here it is so different but I love the winters...much nicer by far.
Dawn, Gail, Sue and Sandy, spring would feel great on this COLD, 30+ degrees. I'm going to bring some more in tomorrow so they will bloom about the time these are fading. Then, it hopefully will be time for the bush to bloom out side. Thanks to all for stopping by! Have a great week.
That's funny - I took the girls or a walk today and it was 57 degrees - but it's cooling off now for the evening.
Wow, Nancy,
We are far from blooms up here. Still getting some late lake effect snow. It will be a month or more before we see anything in bloom.
My laptop chord is shot and I haven't had my "bookmarks" to guide me as I sit at the family computer.
The twins are getting so big! We had a baby shower for our English teacher last night (I should say former English teacher since she isn't teaching for a while). I'd never been to a baby shower in my life, but there were a handful of men there (for a while anyway, then we snuck out the back door =)
