FINALLY!
This is my blogging friend Dawn from Colorado!
(me on the left and Dawn on the right)
I finally got to meet a fellow blogger and what a BLESSING it was for me! I think we've blogged together since I began blogging several years ago. She was in NC this week visiting relatives but I was in Michigan visiting relatives, fortunately, she was able to stay long enough for us to have a delightful lunch together... TODAY (thanks DC it was delicious)! You would think we had known each other forever and the conversation flowed effortlessly for over an hour. Unfortunately for me, she had to be in Georgia by 5:00, or we could have talked endlessly for hours. Dawn has been a prayer partner, a blessing and an inspiration to me and I consider her a very dear friend. Thanks Dawn for making the extra effort to make this day possible, you are a BLESSING indeed!

It was wonderful and I'm so thankful that we got to do this! DC felt bad that he didn't stick around to say good-bye. He asked me to apologize for his rudeness! He enjoyed it, too.
SEE this is tons of fun isn't it? I have met so many many bloggers now over my short 3 years of blogging. It is a great fun experience...plus like you said you could talk forever...I think we learn more about each other through blogging than actual speaking to each other. I am so happy for you..Sandy
Dawn~ It just doesn't get better than this... I'm so blessed to have met you. It's like we've known each other forever and you didn't even laugh at my southern accent (thanks)! Tell DC that I didn't think he was rude... tell him how much I appreciate lunch today! I'm praying for safe travels.
Sandy~ We are only about 6 hours apart. We need to try to get together too! I will be in your neck of the woods on July 13th (I think,) for a wedding so... maybe we can work something out.
You are right it is SO much FUN!!!
Oh how FUN! It is nice to meet up with people, glad y'all got to do that. Great picture!
I see your comment to Dawn, I'm thinking you probably don't have as much of a southern accent as I do! And you're right, if I get back to NC we have to make it work out...who knows, I might get back one day.
How neat! I'm so glad you got to meet each other. It is amazing the way this little adventure into blogging has grown into something so special.
Gail~ My accent is so southern, Dawn was just kind not to laugh or declare that I was an Appalachian Mountain hick from the sticks! While I was in Michigan, everyone stopped me and asked me where I was from.
Linda~ It is amazing how friendships develop in bloggerville. I really had no idea until I tried it. I find many of my blogging friends inspirational... including YOU and that is a blessing indeed!
Hi Nancy,
What a lovely picture of two of my favorite bloggers! So glad you had the chance to meet each other :)
You know, I never think I have an accent at all, but many people can tell I'm from CA when I speak..
Not sure why!
I'm sure you're accent is delightful!
xo
Susie~ You are a favorite of ours too. I would love to meet you in California and hear your accent someday! Who knows... it could happen! Have a great weekend!
Nancy,
Wow. I've not been here (or anywhere in the blogosphere) for quite a while. Been busy each night "researching" and writing. Thanks for stopping by to read it.
Looks like your trip to Michigan was beautiful. The weather cooperated and it looks like you had a nice place to hang out while everyone was at work.
How fun to meet a blogging friend in real life!
Hey, I forgot to say that Kristen took your advice and wrote about her misadventure yesterday morning - check it out - it's up to her usual sarcastic, funny standards!
Tom~ I have appreciated and enjoyed your research. I can tell it's something you enjoy and I'm glad you shared with others.
We didn't get to the western part of Michigan... too much going on with the nieces activities. Maybe next time.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Dawn~ I can't wait to read it... I'm headed that way!
It's kind of cool to meet and make friends with new people that you might not have met otherwise.
What a blessing indeed!
Oh, how wonderful that you and Dawn got to meet! I love that picture of you both!
I am a wee bit jealous, since I'd love to meet BOTH of you...:D
Hugs!
~Tammy
Cris~ It has been a blessing to enjoy friendships through blogging. I never could have imagined this several years ago but I treasure each friend I've met through blogging including you!
Tammy~ Don't be jealous your time will come... God will work it out for you just like he did for us. When it happens, it is such a blessing and worth waiting on.
