Operation Inasmuch (part 3)

Handsome hubby was team leader for a crew that gutted and rebuilt a bathroom. The lady had to brush her teeth in the kitchen sink and the floor was caving in. The plumping had to be redone, the floor replaced and jacked up, and the sheet rock replaced.

After the project was complete, the lady gave my husband a hug and said that she felt like a "Queen for the Day". The "Operation Inasmuch" crew had blessed her life and shown her the true meaning of "love thy neighbor"! May the seeds planted that day, continue to bless her life.

It is a wonderful thing to have a husband who has a servant's heart (I have one of those too). They bless the lives of so many people - and God has a way of blessing them in return.
Have a blessed weekend Nancy.

So how did the churches find out about the needs? Thsi was an amazing project.

Remember the t.v. show "Queen for a Day?" I can remember watching it when I was a kid.

Dawn~ Our county has a Family Resource Agency and a Housing Partnership, both are nonprofit/United Way agencies, that keep track of the housing needs in our county (elderly, poor, etc...) and they gave us most of the projects. We had fundraisers leading up to this day to fund the projects. The team leaders had everything on the site ready to start work that morning. It took a lot of planning and leg work before the day actually got here.

I do remember Queen for a Day and the lady was about our age, so I suppose she did too.

Have a great weekend!
