WILD Wildlife

One of the best things about our trip to Yellowstone National Park, was the abundance of wildlife. This herd of bighorn sheep was so close that I jumped into the car after I took this shot. His eyes were locked on me and as soon as I moved ... he moved and the entire herd stampeded toward me running past the car and crossing the road, as I watched safely inside the rental car. I treasured each encounter and considered it a BLESSING to witness God's critters in their natural habitat.

Maybe you can end up with some of those antlers on your wall if you come out here hunting!

The prayers were answered yesterday. Step 2 in a very long process. Thank you so much for caring and for praying!

Oh wow...a dangerous photo for us blogging friends, Nancy! ;) That was a close call!

I went to Yellowstone as a two yr old, and though I don't really remember it, there are so many amazing and funny stories that my parents told of this adventure.

Can't wait to see more photos and hear some more tales from your time there!

Tammy~ Since you are a history buff... you would love Yellowstone and what a learning experience for your girls! Beware of the charing wildlife!

Sandy~ You and hubby to need to plan a trip. It was so much fun!

The rental car was a red hummer... I think it attracted the wildlife- kinda like the red flag and the bull! Go figure.

So sorry to hear about the ear infections! Little Kate had one this week. Nasty!

I truly am so glad I have the pictures of all those cakes - that way I can remember how creative and energetic I used to be!

Hi Nancy,
I've only been to Yellowstone once, but I remember it an an absolutely amazing place to visit. We saw plenty of wildlife, mostly bears just roaming across the road. I don't recall seeing the longhorn sheep.

Dawn~ Sorry to hear about the ear infections. I hope your twin don't end up with tubes like ours. Kristen already has her hands full and I'm keeping all of you in my prayers.

Sue~ I take every encounter with any wildlife as an extra blessing from God. It's hard to be in the right place... at just the right time, so God definitely has a hand in all this. I hope your weather is better!

Sounds like it was a good thing it was a rental car. Was it a Dodge Ram Truck? Ha Ha... just kidding.
