Turkey Talk

When I was small, we lived on a farm and we had several turkeys. I didn't associate Thanksgiving with turkeys because we often had turkey for the main course of a meal. I loved to chase them in the woods and at times they would even chase me back, especially if they had babies nearby. The farm animals were my playmates and most of my time was spent outside coming up with activities to pass the time of day. Life was fun, simple, and and never boring. I am thankful for those days on the farm. Many lessons were learned by chasing turkeys through the woods and that is a blessing indeed!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I have a great video clip of our son chasing a turkey (named Darwin) and then the turkey taking revenge and chasing him back. Those 30 seconds are something I'll treasure forever!

Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Great word picture. I'll bet you were cute chasing those turkeys and running away from them!

Thanks for stopping by and for your kind, encouraging words to me as well. I hope you can have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Will you be with Emily's parents?

Julie- that is just priceless! I don't remember having names for my turkeys but Darwin is an excellent name!

Dawn- Chasing turkeys- fun indeed! We will be out of town for Thanksgiving and will miss being with Emily's family. They are having their families from both sides at their house. I am sure it will be comforting to be surrounded with family.

Morning Glory- Thanks for stopping by and Happy Thanksgiving to you too!

Sandy- I hope you enjoy your Thanksgiving aalong with this "spring" weather that we are having.

My aunt used to have geese, and the geese chased me all the time. I was terrified of those things.

I hope you had a happy Thanksgiving, under the circumstances. I think about you all the time, and your unfortunate loss. I hope you're okay.
