Wind Chimes
I love wind chimes, especially this one given to me on mother's day several years ago. It is a constant reminder of my daughter and my son and the love that we share. Neither of them live close enough to see daily but a day does not go by without constant reminders of them and the many ways that they have blessed my life. It is like the wind that blows my chimes... you can't see it but you know it is there by the constant reminders that surround you! They are touching my life from a distance and that is a BLESSING indeed.

I love wind chimes too. Lately it is a wonder that they did not blow completely AWAY!! I only have a couple of them. Today I was downtown Savannah and bought a small pretty sounding one as a gift for a friend's birthday. HOpe she likes it. I will just tell her if you don't I can just take it back and then I could KEEP it..Smile. Thanks for stopping by. Sandy

We had some windchime out on the patio. There is something gentle and random in the tones. I wonder where ours went. It was not as nice as this one you have, but I think we took it down one winter and never put it back up.
My daughter bought me some wonderful windchimes in Mexico, and I have a bay window in my bedroom, where I have the windchimes hanging. They're very unique, they little clay bells, and they sound wonderful.

Nancy, I love the sound of wind chimes. Several years ago, my daughter-in-law gave me some wind chimes as a gift. I have them hanging outside my kitchen window. Above them is our bedroom. Every time they chime I think of her.
I see by your profile that you have two grown children, but that they do not live close by. We have three grown children. All of them live close by. Two live 5 minutes away. It has been very nice. I wonder though if distance sometimes makes the heart grow fonder although I can't imagine that I could be more fond of them than I am right now.
We also have 14 grandchildren. So, being close is great. We get to see them quite often. Right now I have one of them with me for the afternoon while his mom is in Chicago on business.
You've been married 31 years. My husband and I have been married 45 years. Where did the time go, I ask myself.

Although I'm not a fan of wind chimes myself, those are really beautiful! We do have a really small tinkly one on our patio that doesn't give me a headache when the wind blows! But what a lovely analogy, as Susie said.
What a beautiful way to think of those wind chimes. They really are beautiful. Distance can never diminish the love we feel for our children. I'm glad you have that special reminder.
I agree, on limited wind music.
We once visited an outdoor park of "art" and I was surprised at how no one thought to bring wind into the picture. It was quite a disappointment. This in St. Louis.
