Just Swingin'
I'm back after a very busy, yet fulfilling Christmas with friends and family. My daughter-in-law took this picture of me swinging, in this gorgeous wooded area near the Guilford College campus, on Christmas Eve. Hubby and I attended Ben's Christmas Eve service and were then treated to a delicious meal at their home, with friends and family.
I hope I never get to old to enjoy swinging in the breeze, surrounded by God's beautiful creation. Taking time to enjoy the moment... a BLESSING indeed!
Now, I'm off to visit all my friends in bloggerville, and catch up on what you've been up to while I was enjoying my Christmas.

That is such a beautiful picture!! I think swinging is for every age and when we get to ancient for swinging, there is always the good ole rocking chair, eh?? ;-) Have a blessed New Year
Thanks Peggy, and I hope you are feeling better soon! Blessings!
Hey Kim~ The rocking chair... yes, it is soothing too and that is a blessing indeed!
Glad you had a wonderful Christmas. All that work and it goes by so quickly! We now have both of our kids birthdays in January to figure out!
I also just discovered that you posted that swimming video here - good idea.
Well, better continue on but wanted to wish you a Happy 2009!
Nancy, that picture needs to be framed...so beautiful in so many ways! (And you look like a little girl on that swing!)
Glad you had a wonderful Christmas!
Hi Julie~ I hope this means that you have posted... I cant wait to go check it out. Thanks for stopping by, it's so good to hear from you. I hope you enjoy the upcoming birthdays... it's a busy time.
Tammy~ I love the photo too, Jenny my DIL, did a great job! I felt like a little girl swinging again. I look so little because that tree is HUGE and beautiful! Happy New Year to you and your family. BLESSINGS!
What a great picture! I love it. The woods look so peaceful!
We just got back from our anniversary getaway - it was so relaxing. I have so much to write about now and so many to visit!
Hi Dawn~ I can't wait to hear all about your trip and see photos.
I love this photo that Jenny took. It just embraces my love for the outdoors and God's creation.
Happy New Year!
Great picture. Sounds like a wonderful evening. December is a month where the blessings of real life take front seat over other things (like blogging) that fade a bit in the glow of time with family and friends.
Tom~ You always phrase it with eloquence... your words just sway in the breeze like me in the swing. Thanks for taking the time to check in... I know your schedule has been hectic lately.
I'm still laughing about the childhood song that you posted. I can't get that tune out of my head and for some reason the word "Camelot" just doesn't sound the same anymore ;-)
Looks like a beautiful spot for swinging, fun photo!
I think everyone has been busy with the holidays, but it's been good hasn't it, being busy with family and friends! The best kind of thing.
I enjoyed the picture. The scerenity of nature, and the uncomplicated peacfulness of the world around us.
