Answer to Prayer
Is there any doubt in your mind, Elmo is one of my richest BLESSINGS in life??????? Just look at that sweet, loving face... PRICELESS! Starting out as a pound puppy and now living a life of luxury in the Carson household. This rags to riches story was an answer to my prayers. I didn't hesitate asking God for guidance in the selection of a family pet. It's a very big decision in any family, full of commitment, compromise and sacrifice. I do believe my prayers were answered. Elmo has been the perfect fit for our family for about 9 years now, providing more love and companionship than I could have ever hoped for. Maybe God has some rich blessings for you... have you asked HIM?

He is one pampered pooch!! We have only had one dog in our marriage and family life. He made our life better for 14 years and is buried in our back yard. We still miss him. But I don't think we'll ever get another pet. They are wonderful companions full of unconditional love!
Dawn~14 years of love was a long time for you. It is so very hard to invest your time and energy into another pet after you grieve so when they die. That's why I prayed for guidance in finding another dog. I wanted it to be God's will thus a perfect match. A Pampered Pooch, that's a perfect description of Elmo.
I love it that the Lord cares about every detail of our lives. I'm sure He had Elmo in mind for you all along. There is nothing like a dog for companionship and unconditional love (apologies to all the cat lovers).
Have a blessed week Nancy.
Linda~ Yes, He does take care of every detail doesn't He. I think we just want to be in control too much of the time... God has far better plans than we could ever imagine. Blessings to you my friend and thanks for always stopping by with such kind comments.
I agree--the picture looks like a pampered little guy--quite Kingly. We have a cat that is similar in that respect ;-) .He meows when it is time for me to get up. When I brush my hair, he meow's until I brush his. Then he meows for me to go to my place for devotions because he likes to sit up behind me on the couch. My hubby says the cat has me trained and not the other way around! ps. I like your idea of wedding gifts!! that you mentioned on my blog. It is a great idea.
Kim~ Cat lovers know all about the unconditional love of animals... I'm delighted that you have a "best friend" too! Good luck with the wedding gift idea.
How wonderful for Elmo that God steered him to someone that would give him so much love and attention.
Elmo is sweet...and look at that luxurious bedding he gets to lie on!:)
I agree that God wants to guide us in every aspect of our lives and gives us little blessings in life!
Nancy,
Our Kippy (West Highland Terrier) is resting between Julie and me on our reclining "love seat" even as I type. He has become such a part of the family. Almost 12 years old (I don't think I believe that "dog years" formula because he does not act like he's 80 at all).
Emily, the daughter who married 2 summers ago, now has a cute puppy, too.
I'd say he might be living in luxury there in that beautiful spot!
And you're so right, God does want to give us so much and many times we don't ask.
Thanks to all for stopping by... I'm a little behind on my comments. I appreciate that you take the time to keep up with me and my goings on. Your friendship means so much to me, almost as much as my pampered pooch, ELMO!
You've got Elmo and I've got Duncan (Molly, too) as my unconditional blessing in my life...the four legged blessings. My children seems to be giving me more and more blessings in my life these days.
Give Elmo hugs and kisses for me.
hilary
Thanks Hilary... great to hear from you!
