Snow Day
Finally, we have a snow day in North Carolina! There is only 3 inches of the fluffy white stuff but even 3 inches in this neck of the woods, happens to be a reason to celebrate... and we did. Sleep late, cook a big breakfast, play in the snow, and enjoy this day for what it is- God's way of saying... "slow down and enjoy the magnificent beauty that only I can create"! AND that is a blessing indeed.

We love snow days...ummm to sleep late and play in the snow.
What a great day to catch your breathe!
It snowed a bit today here but it was too wet to stick. I'm thankful it stopped because it's just too hard to get around when the streets are full of the slush. I love the photo - flowers covered in snow! :D
Hilary and Leslie~ thanks for stopping by to observe our little snow in North Carolina. Blessings to you.
Snow in North Carolina - not something I'd think of happening!
Dawn~ You are right... it is rare for my area of NC. The mountains usually have several 8 to 10 inch snows each year but for the area just below the mountains- that's me- we are lucky if the conditions add up. So when they do, we celebrate! Thanks for stopping by.
hmmmm, I'll take the sleeping in late, but without the snow. LOL. Glad you guys had an enjoyable and relaxing day. :)
Thanks Chris~ I thought of you today. My paper was late due to the snow which made me realize how blessed I am to have someone deliver my paper. Blessings to you for the service you provide for others.
We haven't had much snow here in Vancouver this year this. I miss it.
Gorgeous photo!
Josie~ I was surprised with our snow. I would have thought Vancouver had lots of snow. It's fun to keep up with the climate in other parts of my blogging world- it's a unique learning experience. Thanks for sharing.
Sleeping late sounds wonderful. I'm glad you enjoyed the "day off".
Sounds like a fun day. Whenever the temperature dips into the thirties here in Texas (as it did today) my grandchildren start wishing for snow. None so far, but they're still hoping!
you know you are right!! i never thought like it that way...SNOW is a way to make us SLOW DOWN!! GREAT!! I do not miss snow though here in Ga. They say it is to get colder here tomorrow, rain that might turn to snow. Okay...it will not last long!! Sandy
The picture of the snow is lovely and so is your quote "slow down and enjoy the magnificent beauty that only I can create"! A wonderful reminder to us all, no matter what the weather...
xo
