Flip-Flops
These are absolutely the best flip-flops in the entire world. I got my first pair about 8 years ago. My daughter was on the high school swim team, with an exchange student from Brazil, and she fell in love with the exchange student's flip-flops. When the exchange student left America- she gave Katherine her flip-flops! They were made of the softest rubber (like my very first pair, at the age of 6) and immediately I knew- I have to have my own pair. I googled the name that I found on the flip-flop's from Brazil, and the rest is history. Unbelievably, they only cost seven dollars at the time. I'm sure they are more expensive now, especially since Oprah did a show about them last year but they are well worth the money. I have visions of warm weather ahead and I can't wait to wear my Brazilian flip-flops again... that will be a blessing indeed! Interested? Find out all about them here.

Sandy~ 44 years... that is a blessing indeed. Enjoy!
Very cool, I will definitely have to check them out. :)
They sound wonderful Nancy. I love flip flops but it takes so long for them to feel comfortable between my toes. I'm going to check these out. Thanks!!
Chris & Linda~ The best part is the soft rubber that doesn't hurt between your toes. They are sturdy and haven't broken where the thong meets the sole, which is great because I'm clumsey!
I have neve been able to wear thongs since I as a kit - even soft ones. They're $11.50, I see, now.
When I was in Brazil, we all had to go shoe shopping, because they specialist in very very high, very very pointed toe leather shoes. Needless to say, I didn't buy any - my feet can't take high pointy shoes either!
Thanks for keeping up with our teeny tiny twins!
Nancy,
I'm finally able to catch up on some blogging and was touched to see that you shared that beautiful poem here as well.
On a different note, I am one of the biggest fans of flip flops and definitely am looking forward to Spring when we can slowly ease into wearing them again. I will have to check out the ones from Brazil. They sound great.
Thanks for sharing!
Back in the day, they were called "thongs" but if I mention that word nowadays, people think string underpants! It's hard to remember to use the word "flip-flops." lol
Dawn~ Your twins are precious and what an answer to prayer.
Julie~ How did you find time to stop by with a new baby? Congrats... my prayers for all of you continue! I loved the poem and I hope you don't mind that I used it. I'm delighted that you tried again.
Leslie~ I have never called them thongs for some odd reason. Maybe that's the way it is in the south... we just called them by the sound that they made.
Thanks for stopping by our love story. I just posted Kate's homecoming!
These are so cute! Can't wait for flip flop weather here. It's been so rainy and cold!
