Gifts Galore

My daughter Katherine, in the middle, is shown with her aunts at the bridal shower over the weekend. The aunt on the left is my husband's sister (he has 3 others) and the aunt on the right is my sister (I have one more). We were able to travel to the groom's hometown for the shower and had the opportunity to meet all of his family, neighbors, and friends. The food was just delicious and what fun the silly games were (even creating the toilet paper bridal gowns. Katherine was blessed with the overwhelming generosity of all that attended and it's a good thing that we took her aunts van, because it was completely full of the much needed gifts that she received. Just 73 more days!

What a beautiful family you have. You inspired me to count down to my sister's wedding and I realized that I only have 39 days to worry about fitting into my bridesmaid dress - yikes!
Glad it was a memorable time!

I think I mentioned that Emily (my daughter who's getting married) had a shower the weekend of April 22, and it was sort of a "family reunion" like this. They had such a good time. (I and no other of my gender were present of course. =)

Yes, indeed, you have a lovely family.

Showers are such fun especially for the bride. I remember so well the many gifts our children received when they got married.

The bridal registries that exist today that did not exist when I got married are terrific. I don't know how many duplicate toasters we received as gifts.

Sounds like you are making some wonderful memories! And how special to be able to visit with members of your family that you don't get to see as often as you enjoy this precious season with your daughter! I'll be keeping you in my prayers! Claudia O.
