Mimi

At first glance, you probably think I'm blogging about Elmo again (compare the picture in the previous posts) but I'm writing today to introduce you to my new Grand-dog, Mimi.  Mimi belongs to my son Ben and his wife Jenny.  They adopted a pound puppy just like my precious labradoodle, Elmo.   The new family pet is a little over a year old and so full of energy.  Mimi is house trained and has such good manners, indicating she probably had a good family before she ended up in the animal shelter.  Ben and Jenny have so much love to share with Mimi and she can provide many learning opportunities to prepare them for parenthood- I hope, I hope, I hope!  And that is a BLESSING indeed!

I wonder why she ended up in the shelter. She's a cutie. What mixture is she? I hope this is a first step toward you having a grandchild! Or two --

Hi Dawn, it is sad thinking about how she ended up in the shelter but lucky for Jenny and Ben. I hope this is the first step.. you know I would be delighted with grandkids! She is part lab and part standard poodle and a fluff ball of a pet. Great hearing from you... have a great week!

If it's anything like the excitement you've shared with us with your grandnieces, I have no doubt that when you finally do get grandchildren, they will be lovingly spoiled by grandma. LOL :D

Hi Sue~ I know your life is still very busy and I appreciate that you take the time to stop by. I try to get the grandkids "plug" in every chance I get. I wish they didn't live 2.5 hours away but I'll take it- anyway I can get it! Blessings!

Hi Kim~ Great idea and I do hope to get a photo of them at some point. Mimi has kennel cough that she got from the shelter and can't be around other dogs yet. She is on her second antibiotic right now. It is also a 2.5 hour drive so they won't be able to see each other often. I look forward to seeing how they react to each other. I have an idea that Mimi will have too much energy for Elmo.

Hi Ian~ The shelter dogs do make great pets. Our Elmo is also a shelter dog and she's the best pet ever. Have a great day!
