Pastor Ben
One of the biggest BLESSINGS of my entire life, is to have been chosen by God to raise a minister. My precious son Ben was called into the ministry his junior year at North Carolina State University where he was a business major. He went on to complete his undergraduate there, met his bride to be- who was studying social work at Meredith, and then the two of them went on to seminary together at Asbury Theological Seminary in Kentucky... marrying 2 years later. Then one year later Ben had the privilege of marrying his sister Katherine to Jared with the help of Pastor Sally (my niece... can you tell she is carrying twins under her robe- Emma and Mattie will be born in October!) This has been an exciting time for me and for my family- words just can't express the feelings this mom had in her heart... on July 21st... as Ben walked in to the sanctuary, dressed in his robe- Bible in hand- ready to marry his sister. It just doesn't get better than this!

TWINS?!!! How exciting!!! You can tell she's pregnant, but certainly not with twins. Go girl! LOL. Jordy and Lexi both love the Lord very much and actually get excited over going to Sunday school and Lexi has even noticed that prayer does indeed work. I pray every night that they never lose that love for Him. I know it must have been a very proud moment for you and your husband. You guys have done an incredible job of raising them both. What a blessing!!
How exciting for a mother!! I used to pray for our children that they would do great things like this. I prayed that our one daughter would marry a minister but that never happened. I know that God had their lives all planned out anyway but things did not turn out the way this mother had hoped for them. I know that you must be very happy. What a great couple of kids that you have...Sandy
I can tell your Mother's heart is just filled with pride and joy, as well it should be.
Can't wait to meet those twins! A double blessing!!
xo
It is so awesome that God can call pastors from secular universities! Is your dil practicing her social work? I work with MSW students all day every day. They're good folks, though the field is a bit more than a little bit to the left of center! We need good Christian social workers in the worst way.
How neat! It thrills my heart just to read about it.
What a great picture of how God orchestrates lives. And yes, I do see the similarity in bridal gowns.Beautiful! Keep reflecting and enjoying the blessings!
Nancy, what a lovely family you have. You are truly blessed, in every way.
Cheers,
Josie
You are so blessed, indeed! What a privilege to have raised a minister...and have another one in the family!
That is such fun that your son was able to do the ceremony for your daughter! The pics are beautiful.
My son did that for one of his sisters too.
Nancy, you have got to be busting buttons off your blouse every day with all the reasons you have to be proud and grateful.
Our youngest daughter, though not a minister, is very active serving the Lord in her church and in conducting a Bible study group. She has been doing that for years. Several times she has been asked to speak before an audience about her walk with God. When she talks about the scriptures, she makes them come alive.
Kristen has linked from my site today, and could probably be reached at her old link as well. Check it out!
