Fall Blessings
We are experiencing our "peak" of fall colors this week in the North Carolina foothills. This Japanese Maple has always been a favorite of mine but during the fall it really shows it's true colors. It's almost breathtaking to return home, after my daily walk, and witness this handiwork of our creative God. Breathtaking blessings, that last such a short time... but a gentle reminder that God is in charge, with His very own timetable, for our lives and His beautiful creations.

That's a really spectacular tree! Amazing shade of red!!
Thanks MG, it is a beautiful shade of red and the perfect reminder of God's creativity.
That is beautiful!! I miss seeing the trees turn. Down here we do have a few this year but nothing like you do. ENJOY!!
It was beautiful when we were there, but I know it wasn't the peak. Gorgeous!
Sandy and Dawn~ It is gorgeous but a little sad when the wind starts to blow them all to the ground. Then it's time to get to work... blowing leaves!
That is a gorgeous tree and picture! I love seeing those leaves against the blue sky.
Gail~ Our Carolina blue skies are remarkable, especially this time of the year when the humidity is low. Have a great day!
What a beautiful tree.
Seeing all of the different colored leaves is one of my favorite things about fall (the other is Thanksgiving...LOL).
Thank you for sharing. :)
Cris~ I love Thanksgiving too and it will be here before we know it!
We have a few trees that changed beautifully but the rest just turned brown and fell to the ground. LOL Have a blessed weekend
Peggy~ It is such a blessing to be surrounded by such beauty. Many are starting to turn brown now which is kinda sad. I hope you have a great weekend.
So beautiful...we have had unusually vibrant trees this fall, too!
Hi Tammy~ The leaves are falling quickly and the colors are about gone. It was beautiful while it lasted.
Wow. That is beautiful. The tri-colored beech in the link at the word "KIM" in my post about her story shows a similar tree, but that tree was red all summer long.
By the way, I was wrong about her being in 3rd grade when she wrote that story. She was in 5th. I explain in in the comments. -)
Hi Tom~ the story is still awesome, even if a 5th grader wrote it. I'm impressed by her creativity and dedication! Great job Kim!
It is a wonderful time of the year--the colors are really enjoyable this year.
