Happy Thanksgiving

During this week of Thanksgiving, I wanted to take the time to let each of you know how much I appreciate your friendship, kind comments and prayers. You are a blessing to me, in ways that I never anticipated before I entered the blogging world.  I hope you each have a Happy Thanksgiving and that God richly blesses you and your family.

Summer Reminders

In my neck of the woods, the daily high temperature, is usually in the low 60's for this time of the year.  We have had many frosts and a couple of hard freezes... but on Tuesday the temperature didn't get out of the 30's ALL day.  That rarely happens here, even in the deep dark days of winter.  So, you can imagine my surprise, when I returned from my daily walk to find these beautiful roses still blooming.  Of course, I had to cut them for this bouquet because their hours were numbered...  outside in that freezing COLD weather.
I'm just starting to feel better after a sinus infection, so it was such a blessing to find this little gift from God.  A gentle reminder that He is always there for us, especially in the darkest, coldest moments of our lives.

A Day in the Life

So, what are the twin Grandnieces up to these days?
... playing with my baby doll's eyes
... dancing with our giggle stick.
... talking on our cell phones.
... loving my baby doll.
.... trying out my baby doll's bottle.
... and playing dress up!
They are 14.5 months old, full of energy, and a blessing indeed!

Rainbow Reminders

This rainbow appeared outside my home, after a thunderstorm, a few months ago.  It was a gorgeous reminder of God's promise to us.  I needed that reminder today.  I've had a cold with a sore throat and headache for a few days now and I just can't seem to shake it!  It's often hard to wait patiently for the rainbow to arrive, when your in the midst of a storm.  I'm waiting patiently for this yucky cold to pass,  knowing that there is a rainbow waiting for me, and that is a blessing indeed!  Please...  HURRY God!

Fall Blessings

We are experiencing our "peak" of fall colors this week in the North Carolina foothills.  This Japanese Maple has always been a favorite of mine but during the fall it really shows it's true colors.   It's almost breathtaking to return home, after my daily walk, and witness this handiwork of our creative God.  Breathtaking blessings, that last such a short time... but a gentle reminder that God is in charge, with His very own timetable, for our lives and His beautiful creations.
